It will be a rivalry renewed tonight as the cross town rivals, the Abbotsford Pilots roll into town to take on the Mission City Outlaws at the Mission Leisure Centre.
The Outlaws come into this game on a high after getting their first win of the season last Friday in Ridge Meadows and they will be looking to keep the ball rolling tonight as well but it’s not going to come easy. The Pilots have a pretty good record early on this season with a 3-2-0-0 record and sit in second place in the Harold Brittain Conference with 6 points. The Outlaws will be looking to narrow the gap in the standings as they are currently tied for third with the Flames with 3 points.
The Pilots come into the contest winners of their last 2 games with victories over the North Van Wolf Pack and the Ridge Meadows Flames last weekend and you can bet that Coach Jim Cowden will have his guys ready for this game. Mission City Coach Brad Veitch was hard at work with his crew this week working on perfecting the things that made the team successful in last Fridays win.
Who to watch for:
Abbotsford Pilots: There isn’t just one guy to watch for but 3 come to mind. Bradley Parker, Jared Virtanen and Colton Cowden all have 2 goals and 3 assists for 5 points each.
Mission City Outlaws: Holden Wilkerson is coming off an impressive outing last Friday with a 2 goal performance.
This game should have everything and the kitchen sink and you are not going to want to miss it. The Outlaws know that being more disciplined is the way to success and they will be looking to right that ship tonight. Definitely don’t want to give your opponents the edge.
Fans will not want to miss a minute of the action. Puck drop is at 7:15 PM at the Mission Leisure Centre and tickets are only $8 for adults, $6 for Seniors/Students, $3 for kids 7-12 years and children 6 and under are free with an adult.
