Tonight the Outlaws return home after 2 road games with a record of 1-1-0-0 away from the MLC. With the HUGE win last night in Aldergrove, Mission City will go for 2 in a row when the Port Moody Panthers make their first visit to the Mission Leisure Centre.
The last time these 2 teams met was game 2 of the regular season in Port Moody where the Outlaws fell in OT to the Panthers. I’m sure the Outlaws have not forgotten that night and will be looking for a little redemption when the puck is dropped tonight.
The Outlaws sit alone in third in the Harold Brittain Conference after last nights win with a record of 2-3-1-1 after 7 games. The Panthers are last in the same conference with a record of 1-5-0-0. Since opening night, the Panthers have lost 5 straight coming into tonight’s contest and you would have to think from an Outlaws perspective, that the Panthers should be right for the picking. However in any type of hockey you should never take any team lightly and you can be sure the coaching staff will have the team ready for whatever the Port Moody Panthers throw their way.
Who to watch for:
Mission City – Jonathan Philley – He had an assist in last nights game and with the chances he has had lately, you know its just going to be a matter of time before he breaks free.
Port Moody – Daniel Delbianco – Leads the way for the Panthers this season with 6 goals, 4 assists for 10 points on the season.
As early as it may be in the season, the Outlaws are going to want to secure some wins in a row. You don’t want to be that team at the end of the season wondering what if.
Fans you are not going to want to miss a minute of the action. Come on down to the Mission Leisure Centre for a 7:15pm puck drop and cheer on your Outlaws.
