It has been a full week since the Mission City Outlaws played their last game and it was not the result the team wanted, dropping the decision on home ice against the Port Moody Panthers, but with a weeks worth of practice the Outlaws will be looking to get its first win at the Mission Leisure Centre this young season.
It won’t be a walk in the park for the Outlaws as Grandview has posted a record of 5-1-1-2 in 9 games this season and currently sit in 2nd place in the Tom Shaw Conference. The Outlaws sit in fourth in the Harold Brittain Conference as a win from the Ridge Meadows Flames this past weekend, leap frog-ed the Flames into 3rd place.
For the past 3 games the Outlaws have opened the scoring which is a definite silver lining for a team still coming together and having a week off between games is also a great way to work on certain systems that may be the lacking early on.
Who to watch for:
Mission City – Bryce Pisiak – Pisiak has a goal in 2 straight games where he showcased his skill set and his work ethic to capitalize on his chances.
Grandview – Jordan Hall – The 3 year veteran of the Steelers leads the way with 4 goals, 4 assists in 9 games this season.
The week off was a great opportunity for the Outlaws to gel and will play a big factor tonight. Staying out of the penalty box will be the step in the right direction for success.
You are not going to want to miss any of the action tonight from the MLC. If you can’t make it out to the game you can always watch on fasthockey.com ppv or on our free audio channel at mixlr.com. Please find the link at the bottom of this page. Puck drop at 7:15pm pregame show at 7:05pm.
