It will be game #2 of the 4 games in 7 night marathon that the Outlaws are currently on and it’s a tilt with the North Delta Devils at the Sungod Arena tonight.
The Outlaws are coming off a thrilling victory on Thursday at home against the Ridge Meadows Flames and will be looking to keep the good times rolling tonight.
Last night the Flames lost to the Pilots at home and that leaves the 3rd spot in the Harold Brittain Conference open. The Outlaws trail by just 1 point and a win tonight would leap frog them into the third spot. As I spoke in the Broadcast on Thursday, you would have to think that this stretch of games is going to be crucial for the Outlaws to start making head way.
It will be a reunion of sorts as Devils forward Brett Mackey faces his old team since being traded for future considerations back on October 1st. Whenever a player that has been traded meets his old team they seem to want to make some kind of a statement and from what I read on social media from Mackey this week, he has had this game marked on his calender since coming over to the Devils.
Who to watch for:
Mission City – David McGowan – Although McGowan did not factor into the 3 star selection he was by and far one of the difference makers in the Outlaws Victory on Thursday night. Getting your first goal is going to be a big weight lifted off his shoulders.
North Delta – Colin Catchpole – The Devils veteran leads the way with 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points so far this young season.
Early on this young season, both of these teams have had their struggles trying to get in to the win column and this should be a great game for all to enjoy.
If you are not coming out to the Sungod Arena tonight you can catch all the action form the Devils Broadcast team on fasthockey.com or you can catch the game on our free audio channel for the Outlaws broadcast with myself on the mixlr.com link below. Puck drop at 7:15pm. Pre Game 7:05pm.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
