If you had the chance to make it out to the Aldergrove Arena tonight for the game then you already know just how entertaining this game was between the Mission City Outlaws and the Aldergrove Kodiaks.
The Outlaws would strike first in this contest on the power play with a one timer from Bryce Pisiak. Shortly after that Cam Bertsch would get his first of the game and make it 2-0 for the visiting Outlaws. The last half of the first period would be all Kodiaks as they had 3 unanswered goals and took the lead to the dressing room 3-2.
In the second and the Outlaws would tie it up at 3-3 early on in the middle frame. The Kodiaks would regain their 1 goal lead in the dying minutes of the second but the Outlaws had better ideas and tied it up with 1:38 left to make it 4-4 and setting the stage for a thrilling final frame.
The 3rd period solved nothing as neither team could put one past the goalies and sending this game to Overtime. In the extra frames nothing was solved even though each team had a handful of good quality scoring chances but this game would end in a 4-4 draw.
All in all another good effort from the Mission City Outlaws tonight. Cam Bertsch had 2 goals and Jeff Veitch was solid between the pipes for the Outlaws earning him a fist star nod. The Outlaws will see if they can carry the momentum from this game onto home ice tonight when they face the Richmond Sockeyes at the Mission Leisure Centre.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
