Another Tough Loss on Home Ice

It was the first meeting of the season between the Outlaws and the Sockeyes on Thursday night at the Mission Leisure Centre.

The Sockeyes showed first hand why they are 2nd place in the Tom Shaw Conference as they play a very good system game.  They are also chipping in on the offence and the Sockeyes would open the scoring.  Carson Rose would get the first 2 goals of the game and the Outlaws would find themselves in a hole early on.  The Sockeyes would add one more before the period ended off the stick of Sockeyes leading scorer Jackson Waniek and take a 3-0 lead to the second period.

There was no scoring in the second period but in the third things would open up and a combined 4 goals were scored between the 2 teams.  Both Dyck brother’s would get the Outlaws on the score sheet but a pair of goals from Aidan Macdonald was too much for the Outlaws to come back in this one and they drop the decision by a final score of 5-2.

The Outlaws will get back to work at practice this week and prepare for a huge slew of games with 4 games in 7 days for the Outlaws starting next Thursday when Mission City hosts the Port Moody Panthers.  7:15 pm puck drop at the Mission Leisure Centre.

As for now you’re up to date.  See you at the rink.
