GAME DAY!!! Outlaws Host Port Moody Panthers

                                 portmoody vs outlaws

Something has to give.  There should be a real playoff type feel tonight when the Outlaws lock horns with the Panthers.  The Panthers just sit 2 points behind the Outlaws for the final playoff spot and even though it is only November, you still don’t want to let important points slip away.

So far this season the Panthers have had the Outlaws number in the win column taking both games in the season series thus far.  This season, it has been noted the struggles for Mission City on home ice and a HUGE gut check game is going to be needed tonight.

The Panthers, like the Outlaws, have been busy lately making trades to improve their squad.  The Panthers are still led by D-man Daniel Delbianco who has 25 points in 19 games this season.

This will be game # 17 for the Mission City Outlaws who have played the fewest amount of games in the entire PJHL.  That is all about to change as the team plays quite a fair bit the next 2 weeks with 7 games in 14 days.  The time to make a run is now and it is possible, very possible for the Outlaws to string together quite the run.

Who to watch for:

Mission City – Brody Dyck – Brody has been really coming into his own as of late.  His line which consists of Bryce Pisiak, Bakshi Gill and himself are a definite energy line combination and will add that element to each and every game they play.

Port Moody – Wolfgang Schoenefuhs – Although Delbianco leads the team in scoring, Schoenefuhs has been another player who has been very consistent for the Panthers this season with 15 points of his own.

Final thoughts:

While writing this blog post I find myself getting more and more excited for this game.  A good run and gun style from the Outlaws tonight will put the Panthers on their heals early and maybe Mission City can capitalize on scoring chances right out of the gate.

As always the puck drop is 7:15 pm from the Mission Leisure Centre.  Tickets are just $8 for Adults, $6 for Students/Seniors, $3 for kids 7-12 and kids 6 and under are always free when accompanied by an adult.  Tonight the Outlaws will host another edition of the Little Caesars Pizza Mission Minor Hockey Shoot Out competition taking place in the 1st intermission.  Last week was a great showing and tonight should be great as well.

Can’t make it out to the game tonight then remember you can always tune into FastHockey.com PPV and listen LIVE on our free audio channel at MixLR.com or follow the links at the bottom of this blog post.  7:05 pm Pre game show.

Enjoy the game everyone.

As for now you’re up to date.  See you at the rink.
