The Mission City Outlaws will make their first visit to the MSA Arena in Abbotsford when they take on the Pilots in just the second meeting of the season between these 2 teams.
The last time these 2 teams met was way back in September where the 2 squads finished in a deadlock 4-4 tie at the Mission Leisure Centre. The Outlaws are coming off a big win on home ice last night with a 4-1 victory over the Port Moody Panthers and will be looking to carry some of that momentum into Abbotsford against a very good Pilots team.
On the flip side of the coin, the Outlaws have had a pretty good record away from home this season with a record of 2-2-1-2. The Outlaws have had very good showings this season against tougher opponents. The Pilots sit in 2nd in the Harold Brittain Conference with a record of 13-4-0-1 for 27 points on the season.
Who to watch for:
Mission City – Eddie Lalonde – Lalonde’s play as of late has been very strong in front of his own net. Fearlessly blocking shots and allowing his goaltender to see pucks well has been the motive for the veteran blue liner.
Abbotsford – Bradley Parker – Parker is tied for the lead in scoring with Braeden Monk on the Pilots. Parker has 13 goals and 10 assists for 23 points in just 18 games.
Pretty much the same as last night as the Outlaws can ill afford to give up valuable points in this stretch of 7 games in 14 days.
It all gets going tonight with a 7:30 pm puck drop from the MSA Arena. Come on out and watch the rivalry first hand. Can’t make it to the rink then you can always listen live for FREE on our MixLR.com channel with the pre game show beginning at 7:20 pm.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
