Outlaws Ground the Pilots

Friday night the Mission City Outlaws took their winning momentum on the road with a match up against the Abbotsford Pilots at the MSA Arena and it was the Outlaws who would come out on top with the 4-2 final score.

Great effort from all members of the team really showed a solid, character building game from the Outlaws.  After the Pilots drew first blood in the first period the Outlaws would answer back with a solid second period where the tide was changed in the favour of the Outlaws.  The Outlaws would notch 3 goals in the middle frame setting up the team for a chance to solidify the win.

Dakota Klassen had not 1 but 2 goals in the contest.  These were the first goals of Klassen’s PJHL career officially.  Officially because these were the first goals that Klassen was given credit for.

With the win the Outlaws now have 14 points on the season and have a nice 6 point cushion in 4th place in the Harold Brittain Conference.  Unfortunately for Outlaws fans the Ridge Meadows Flames won on home ice as well on Friday night so they remain 1 point ahead of Mission City.

This marked the first time this season that the Mission City Outlaws would get back to back wins.

Another solid effort will be required from the Outlaws when they face off against the Delta Ice Hawks at the Ladner Leisure Centre on Tuesday night.

As for now you’re up to date.  See you at the rink.
