The last time these 2 teams met was a little over a week ago at the Mission Leisure Centre where the Outlaws were able to secure a victory over the Panthers on home ice. Tonight the teams will do it all over again at the Port Moody Arena.
The edge in the season series goes to the Panthers as they have been able to pull out wins in 2 of 3 meetings so far this season. Although the Panthers have had the number of the Mission City Outlaws, a great team game from the Outlaws last Thursday was too much for the Panthers to handle and Mission City is going to need that kind of effort again tonight.
The Outlaws have dropped their last 2 games to the Ice Hawks and the Devils and will be looking to rebound with a win. The Outlaws have a record of 5-11-2-2 for 14 points and sit in 4th place in the Harold Brittain Conference, but more importantly for Mission City is that they can extend their points gap in the standings over the Panthers to six points with a win. The Panthers sit in 5th with 10 points.
Who to watch for:
Mission City – Kyle Raymond – Lately Raymond has showcased his ability to power his way to the net. Because of this power Kyle brings he has had 2 goals in the past 3 games.
Port Moody – Kurt Sonne – Sonne is coming off his first multi goal game of his PJHL career last Saturday night when his team faced the North Delta Devils and was one of the more noticeable Panthers the last time at the Mission Leisure Centre.
The Panthers will be without 2 key players tonight in Adam Rota and Landon Matechuk who will be serving suspensions that were handed down from the league. The Outlaws still need to take the Panthers seriously as contenders.
The puck drops at 7:45 PM tonight from the Port Moody Arena. Can’t make it out to the rink tonight? Remember the game will be brought to you LIVE on our FREE audio channel at MixLR.com. Pre game show at 7:35 PM.
