It will be a matinee affair this afternoon when the Mission City Outlaws make the trip for the first time this regular season to the Burnaby Winter Club to take on the Grandview Steelers.
The Outlaws are coming off a third straight loss last night in Port Moody where special teams was the deciding factor in a 4-2 loss to the Panthers. As I mentioned in the blog, the Outlaws were very disappointed with their effort last night and will be looking for that loss to drive them past the Grandview Steelers team this afternoon.
Thankfully for the Outlaws, the Ridge Meadows Flames also lost on Saturday night, making it still within range for the Outlaws to tie for 3rd by weeks end with a victory over the Steelers. Grandview sits in 4th in the Tom Shaw Conference with a record of 10-7-1-2 for 23 points. The Steelers were also in action on Saturday night in North Delta and came out with a 2-1 victory.
Who to watch for:
Mission City – David McGowan – I know I’ve talked about McGowan before but David’s consistency can’t be ignored. 5 points in the month of November doesn’t go unnoticed.
Grandview – Chris Seto – Seto leads the team in scoring with 18 points. In the one meeting the 2 teams have had this season Chris was one of the more noticeable players for the Steelers.
The Outlaws will have to have a big gut check the minute they walk through the doors of the Burnaby Winter Club if they have any chance to stop the bleeding.
It all gets going with the puck drop at 4 PM. Tune into our free audio broadcast on MixLR.com for coverage beginning at 3:50 PM for the pre game show.
GO OUTLAWS GO!!!!
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
