The Mission City Outlaws payed their second visit to the Port Moody Arena on Saturday night and once again there was a huge 2 points on the line and a real chance for the Outlaws to separate themselves from the Panthers and close the gap for 3rd place in the Harold Brittain Conference but it was not to be.
After a scoreless first period that was very entertaining from both side’s the second and third period’s were not nearly as fun for the Outlaws as they found themselves on the wrong end of the score board with a final 4-2 score.
The Outlaws got goals from Cam Bertsch and Bakshi Gill but it was not enough to spark the team as they dropped their third straight game. It really has been a rough week for the Outlaws who are heading into the final stretch of 4 games in 6 nights.
The Outlaws were 1 for 5 on the Power Play on Saturday night, but allowed 5 power plays to the Panthers and Port Moody found the back of the net twice on the man advantage. Definitely a game changer that can be sure.
By all accounts, the Outlaws were very disappointed with the effort on Saturday and that disappointment should carry over and drive the team to Grandview this afternoon when Mission City makes their first visit of the season to the Burnaby Winter Club. Game time is 4 PM.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
