Tonight will be the back end of a home and home with the Grandview Steelers. The Outlaws took the first game of the home and home in Burnaby on Sunday with a 4-2 final score.
The Outlaws are at the halfway point of the season and this is when teams really start to make their push for the post season. Mission City sits tied for 3rd in the Harold Brittain Conference with the Ridge Meadows Flames with 16 points. The Steelers sit in 4th in the Tom Shaw Conference with 23 points.
Grandview played last night in Aldergrove and were on the losing end of a 8-6 score. Dropping 2 straight is going to make for a hungry team on the other end of the ice at the Mission Leisure Centre.
The Outlaws will have newest acquisition Brandon McReynolds in the lineup tonight at the MLC and like all players that come over to a new team, they want to leave an impact with their new team mates and I expect nothing less from McReynolds tonight.
Who to watch for:
Mission City – Kyle Baron – Baron has been throwing the body around a lot lately which translates as momentum to the rest of the team.
Grandview – Quinn Lenihan – Lenihan was in on both goals scored on the Outlaws on Sunday and seemed to be a factor each time he was on the ice.
What happened in the first half of the season needs to be put in the past and the Outlaws have a real opportunity to start a positive trend in the second half tonight.
The puck drop is 7:15 PM at the Mission Leisure Centre. There will also be another edition of the Little Ceasars Pizza Shootout Competition with the players from the Mission Minor Hockey Association going on the first intermission.
