Outlaws End the Skid

Last night the Mission City Outlaws made a huge statement in the Harold Brittain Conference with a win over the visiting Delta Ice Hawks.  The win was much needed by the Outlaws as they were on an 8 game losing skid coming into the contest.

Mission City did a great job in the opening frame to press the Ice Hawks on the fore check and forcing turnovers which found the back of the net.  It was a great 60 minute effort from the Outlaws as they hand the Delta Ice Hawks a 6-2 loss.

The last little while, the coaching staff were looking for at least someone on the team to have a breakout game but the result was much better for Mission City as for the first time in a month, the team had scoring from multiple players.  This could be a definite step in the right direction.

Dakota Klassen and Jeff Penman took on their old Outlaws club tonight and I thought that each guy performed well for the Ice Hawks.  Klassen had a goal in the game against his old club.  Penman chipped in on defence and offence for Delta.

The Outlaws now have 3 points that separate themselves from the last place Port Moody Panthers and will be looking to improve on this tonight when the team makes the trip to the Cam Neely Arena in Maple Ridge to take on the Ridge Meadows Flames.

As for now you’re up to date.  See you at the rink.
