Game Day!!! Outlaws @ Kodiaks

Crunch time hockey is the exact reaction the Mission City Outlaws coaching staff want to see from their club tonight when the team makes the 3rd trip this regular season to the Aldergrove Community Arena to face the red hot Aldergrove Kodiaks.

In the 4 meetings this season the 2 teams have had a deciding score by 2 goals or less making for some great hockey and I would expect tonight to be no different.

The Outlaws still sit 3 points ahead of the Port Moody Panthers with 1 game in hand at 19 points.  The Kodiaks are 1st in the PJHL with 51 points and show no signs of slowing down.  Mission City had a good showing last week picking up a victory over the Delta Ice Hawks and coming so close to picking up a point a night later in Maple Ridge against the Ridge Meadows Flames.  The Flames game left a sour taste in the mouth of the Outlaws and a good work week at practice is just what the doctor ordered.

Who to watch for:

Mission City – Dylan Kooner – Kooner’s speed to the net and able to read plays will have to be a factor for success tonight against the Kodiaks.

Aldergrove – Stephen Ryan – What more can be said about Ryan that we already don’t know.  Since the injury to Kenny Prato, Ryan has stepped his game up to a even higher level and the Outlaws will have to keep a close eye each time he’s on the ice.

Final thoughts:

With a busy 3 game week, the Outlaws would love to see this team get some kind of a run going.  With the team playing grittier hockey as of late this is definitely not out of possibility.

As always the game will be broadcast on our FREE audio channel on beginning with the pre game show at 7:05 PM.  Puck drop at 7:15 PM.

As for now you’re up to date.  See you at the rink.
