The one team that has been on the heals of the Mission City Outlaws stroll into town tonight. The Port Moody Panthers will face the Outlaws for the 5th time this season. The Panthers have a 3-1 series lead coming into the game.
For the 3rd straight game, the Outlaws will face a divisional opponent and now is the time to get some separation between themselves and Port Moody for that final playoff spot in the Harold Brittain Conference.
Wednesday night in Aldergrove was a night to forget and I would expect that is exactly what Mission City is going to do moving forward here during this busy week of games. Also Wednesday night, the Mission City Outlaws played their last game in hand on the Panthers so this makes the match up that more important.
Who to watch for:
Mission City – Kyle Raymond – Raymond has been a work horse all season long and his hard work has not gone unnoticed by the coaching staff as he has been seeing many more minutes of playing time.
Port Moody – Wolfgang Schoenefuhs – Schoenefus has played extremely well against the Outlaws in all 4 meetings so far this season. The Outlaws will have a tough task keeping him off the score sheet.
The Outlaws will welcome back Cameron Bertsch after he served a 1 game suspension for an incident that took place at the end of last Friday’s game against the Ridge Meadows Flames and Bertsch sure was dearly missed last night by his hockey club. Sometimes sitting in the stands can help more than it can hurt.
As always the puck drops at 7:15 PM at the Mission Leisure Centre. The game is also available on Fasthockey.com PPV and for FREE on our audio channel at MixLR.com beginning with the pre game show at 7:05 PM.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
