For some strange reason that can not be described by the hockey gods, the Outlaws record at home has been better than the record on the road in the second half. Unlike the first half of the season where it was the other way around but I don’t think the team minds that too much as long as they pick up wins along the way.
It will be the third game this week when the Outlaws face the Grandview Steelers this afternoon from the Burnaby Winter Club and will be the 4th and final meeting of the regular season between the 2 clubs. The Steelers lead the season series 2-1 and a fun fact is that the visiting team has won each of the first 3 meetings.
Who to watch for:
Mission City – David McGowan – By and far, for my money one of the best penalty killers on Thursday night in the victory over the Panthers and the Outlaws will need some more tight checking from the Veteran forward.
Grandview – Tim Chow – Chow is tied for top scoring on the Steelers with 30 points and always seems to perform well against the Mission City Outlaws.
A great showing today will end the week off on a great note. With the playoffs rapidly approaching, all these games are must wins and being able to secure a spot will help everyone breathe a little easier.
You can tune in today on our FREE audio channel at MixLR.com. The puck drops at 4:00 PM from the Burnaby Winter Club with the Pre game show at 3:50 PM.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
