GAME DAY!!! Outlaws @ Sockeyes

With just 3 games remaining in the regular season, the playoff picture around the league is starting to fall into place but one question still remains,  who will get the final playoff spot in the Harold Brittain Conference?  The Mission City Outlaws or the Port Moody Panthers?  The Outlaws are hoping that they can take fate in their own hands and pick up a win tonight at the Minoru Arena in Richmond but it’s not going to be an easy task.

The Sockeyes are winners of 17 of their last 18 games but which team will we see iced tonight for Richmond?  With a playoff spot secured, will the Sockeyes play all their regulars or will they take the safe route and sit their players to take on the Mission City Outlaws team tonight?

The Outlaws are coming off back to back losses last week and will be looking to write the ship in a big way tonight.  The line of David McGowan, Cam Bertsch and Dylan Kooner have been great since being reunited back in the game against Port Moody 2 weeks ago combining for 9 points in the last 3 games.

Who to watch for:

Mission City – Bryce Pisiak – Pisiak had a strong game in a losing cause last Friday tallying 1 goal and getting denied by a disallowed goal but the drive to the net is there for Bryce.  Should result in more points for him the rest of the way.

Richmond – John Wesley – Wesley is having a great rookie season with the Sockeyes with 21 goals 24 assists for 45 points.  John has been a huge contributor to the teams success during the impressive 16 game win streak the team just enjoyed.

Final thoughts:

It will be the first of back to back games for the Mission City Outlaws and this is why we play the games.  This team knows what needs to be done the rest of the way.  They knows what’s at stake.  Keep the feet moving and the bodies flying will have to be the only thing that the Outlaws will use as their M.O. against the Richmond Sockeyes.
