The Mission City Outlaws announced on Wednesday that both Kyle Westeringh and Brendan Jay will be joining the team.
Jay was acquired in the off season form the Revelstoke Grizzlies of the KIJHL. The 6’3″ 205 lbs. Jay will be a big boost in the back end with his puck smarts and his overwhelming use of his body to create more turnovers in his own end of the rink. Jay returns to the Outlaws from a pretty lengthy stint with the Coquitlam Express at their training camp and the Outlaws are thrilled to have him back.
Westeringh spent last season with the BCHL’s Chilliwack Chiefs and had 10 goals and 9 assists in 55 games in his rookie season with the club. Mission City Head coach, Brad Veitch, spoke highly of the 96′ born forward calling him a well rounded player that can play the whole 200 feet of the ice. Westeringh will be a player that will get his opportunity to fill any situation that the Outlaws may find themselves in.
A very warm welcome to Brendan and Kyle to the Outlaws family.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
