Tonight will mark the first meeting of the season when the Outlaws make the trip to South Delta to take on the Delta Ice hawks.
The 2 teams had some pretty impressive battles last season. But last season was last season and these 2 teams are fairly similar this season. Both teams currently sit 4th in their respective conferences and both teams have the same never give up mentality.
It was a hard fought game on Saturday for the Outlaws when they faced the Abbotsford Pilots which saw Mission City throw everything and the kitchen sink at the net but couldn’t find the back of the goal. They will need an effort like that again.
Who to watch for:
Mission City – Ryan Sharma – As all things take time to develop the same can be said for Sharma. Ryan has definitely made his presence felt since returning from a suspension that he received during preseason. Using his body and long reach to create scoring chances for himself and his line mates is a great asset for Brad Veitch and company to use at their disposal.
Delta – Evan Grannery – Grannery is one of those players you can not keep off your radar. This is what the Grandview Steelers found out the hard way on Sunday as Evan had a 3 goal performance in a 5-2 win.
With the quarter mark of the season just around the corner, the Outlaws would love to get back to some winning ways. Sending a statement to teams like the Delta Ice Hawks would be a big confidence booster for a club like Mission City that really believes that each game is winnable with hard work.
The game will be played at the temporary home of the Ice Hawks, the South Delta Rec Centre. You can tune in for FREE on our audio only channel on MixLR.com with the puck drop at 7:30 PM and the pregame show at 7:20 PM.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
