The 2nd meeting of the season will take place tonight at the Mission Leisure Centre when the Mission City Outlaws host the Langley Knights.
This will be the first visit by the Knights to the MLC and they are riding an impressive 4 game win streak which is the polar opposite of what this team was doing last year as the North Delta Devils.
It was opening night of the regular season the last time these 2 teams met which saw the Outlaws get into late penalty trouble and Langley would capitalize to take the first game in the season series with a 7-4 victory at the George Preston Recreation Centre.
Langley currently sits 1st in the Harold Brittain Conference with a record of 7-3-0-0 for 14 points. Mission City sits in 4th with a record of 4-6-1-0 for 9 points and are coming off a hard fought victory last week over the Ridge Meadows Flames. Another victory tonight against a tough Langley opponent will leap frog the Outlaws into 2nd place.
Who to watch for:
Mission City – Josh Pollock – Pollock had a strong game last Saturday and was rewarded with a 2 goal performance. When Josh pitches in offensively, it really seems to give the team a huge boost and as a leader the team expects nothing less.
Langley – Dylan McCann – McCann is part of the #1 line for the Knights with Levi De Waal and Carson Rose. In just his second season in the PJHL, Dylan is almost a 2 point a game guy.
The quote unquote #1 line for the Knights cannot be ignored by any of the opposition that faces this team but there is also some more fire power than meets the eye for this Knights Club and the Outlaws will have to play the best man to man coverage game of the season for any kind of success tonight.
The puck drops once again at 6:45 PM at the MLC. If you can’t make it out, the game will be available on FastHockey.com Pay Per View for $9.99 or listen for FREE on mixlr.com/outlawshockey or on the Mission City Website by clicking the ‘Listen Live’ link in the left side menu. Mike “The Boiler” Bordignon along with Kelly English will have the call beginning with the Pregame show at 6:35 PM.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
