Third meeting of the season will take place tonight between the Abbotsford Pilots and the Mission City Outlaws at the Mission Leisure Centre.
The Outlaws are coming off a tough weekend of results for the club as they were only able to get a single point out of 4 in which I feel, they deserved a much better result in both games played.
Mission City took the first game of the season very handily at the MSA Arena earlier this season. The Pilots answered back with a win of their own in the second meeting at the MLC so the season series is split.
The Pilots have become a much better team as of late and a storied franchise like Abbotsford always finds a way to get in the win column, so the opposition can never take their team lightly.
Abbotsford sits 2nd in the Harold Brittain Conference with a record of 7-9-0-1 for 15 points and Mission sits 5th with a record of 5-9-1-1 for 12 points.
Who to watch for:
Mission City – Josh Pollock – The Pilots always seem to bring out the best in Josh Pollock. The Pilots play a tougher style of hockey which plays right into the hands of Pollock’s style of play.
Abbotsford – Brady Lawlor – Lawlor had a 2 point night the last time these 2 teams met back on October 4th and will be coming fresh off a suspension. Definitely one player the Outlaws can’t ignore.
A good solid effort that we saw glimpses of last weekend on the road will be needed for the full 60 minutes tonight. The Outlaws are most successful this season when blocking shots and communicating with one another. Something we saw for the most part last Sunday afternoon in Grandview.
You will not want to miss any of this cross town rivalry tonight. Tickets available at the door. As always the game is available on Fasthockey.com PPV for just $9.99 and on our FREE “Audio Only” channel at mixlr.com/outlawshockey. Puck drop at 6:45 PM. Pre game at 6:35 PM.
BRING THE NOISE!!!!!!! LETS PACK THE PLACE!!!!!
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
