GAME DAY!!! Outlaws @ Port Moody Panthers

After an impressive week which saw the Outlaws record back to back wins for the first time this season and recording their first shutout, the Mission City Outlaws are set to take on the Port Moody Panthers in a rare Monday night tilt at the Port Moody Arena.

The Outlaws are really starting to come into their own once again as the team is starting to find the same groove they had at the start of the season when the team led the league in goals for.  The last time these 2 teams met was not exactly the result the Outlaws were looking for as they dropped a 5-3 decision to the Panthers.

The Panthers are coming off a loss on Saturday night at the hands of the Richmond Sockeyes.  This does not mean the Outlaws can take this team lightly as there is a fair bit of firepower up front for the Port Moody squad.

Team Stats:

Mission City – Tied for 4th Place in the Harold Brittain Conference

Record: 7-12-1-1 for 16 points

Port Moody – 5th Place in the Tom Shaw Conference

Record: 5-17-0-1 for 11 points.

Top 3 scorers –

Final Thoughts:

The discipline has been much better the last couple games but can still need improvement as well as other factors as the team keeps making strides to move forward and make the run as this game marks the halfway point of the season.  As Brad Veitch said the other night on the pregame show, each game is extremely important and the team needs to bring the good work ethic and not take any team lightly.
