The Outlaws went into the week looking to bump the 6 game slump when they faced the Aldergrove Kodiaks and the Ridge Meadows Flames. Needless to say the team was able to bump the skid in a big way.
Bryce Pisiak led the way for the Mission City Outlaws on Wednesday night as he recorded a hat trick and an assist for a 4 point night in a 5-2 victory. The Outlaws were able to halt the Kodiaks winning streak at just 2 games. The team played a full 60 minute effort and a well rounded game throughout which is just what the doctor ordered. Newcomer Mike Holub also had a good game as he had a goal and 2 assists and has really seemed to find a home in Mission City.
The team was brimming with confidence coming into the game on Saturday at the Mission Leisure Centre when the Outlaws were set to host the Ridge Meadows Flames. Mission City was also looking for its first back to back win scenario this season and also looking to tie in the standings with the same Flames team.
With another impressive showing, Bryce Pisiak had a big game again for his team as he factored into all the scoring for the Outlaws with 2 goals and 1 assist and led his team to a 3-0 victory over the Flames.
Jeff Veitch recorded his first career shutout in the win and now the Outlaws are tied for 4th place in the Harold Brittain Conference with a record of 7-12-1-1 for 16 points.
The Outlaws have really started to turn a corner in the right direction as the things that were working well for the team have started to find the way back and the team is getting healthier which is good news for Mission City fans.
The Outlaws will look to keep things rolling as they get set to take on the Port Moody Panthers at the Port Moody Arena on Monday night.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
