After an impressive 3rd straight win on Monday night against the Port Moody Panthers, the Outlaws will be looking for their 4th win in a row when they host the Aldergrove Kodiaks tonight at the Mission Leisure Centre.
The Outlaws were able to pick up a victory in Aldergrove which ended a 6 game losing skid for Mission City and was also the start of the Outlaws current winning streak. Aldergrove is on a little streak of their own as they have picked up victories against the Abbotsford Pilots on Wednesday night and a come from behind win against the Ridge Meadows Flames last night at the Cam Neely Arena in Maple Ridge.
The race in the Harold Brittain Conference is really starting to pick up. With all teams at or over the halfway point of the season, teams that had separation no longer have that breathing room. Aldergrove sits in 3rd with a record of 8-8-2-4 for 22 points and Mission City sits 4th with a record of 8-12-1-1 for 18 points and will be looking to narrow the gap.
Mission City –
The Outlaws picked up another player yesterday as the team welcomes Dalton Dubetz from the Nanaimo Buccaneers of the VIJHL. The team continues to make strides in improving and making a real run. The Kodiaks will have familiar face’s in the lineup that the Outlaws know all too well and that is Spencer and Scott McHaffie. The McHaffie brothers always seem to play Mission City hard and I’m sure it won’t take long for the players to get reacquainted with each other.
This should be a fun one tonight. The Outlaws need your support fans so lets fill the MLC. Tickets are just $10 dollars for Adults. Student and Seniors are only $6 dollars and kids 6-12 are only $3 dollars. Plus kids under 5 are always FREE when accompanied by an adult. Pretty affordable entertainment. The game is also available on Fast Hockey Pay Per View for $9.99 or you can listen for FREE on our ‘AUDIO ONLY’ channel at mixlr.com/outlawshockey or click the ‘LISTEN LIVE’ link on our website in the left menu. Puck drop is 6:45 PM and the pregame show gets going at 6:35 PM.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
