GAME DAY!!! Outlaws Host Grandview Steelers

A slow start in the first and second period last night by the Mission City Outlaws will look to be rectified tonight when the team sets its sights on the visiting Grandview Steelers at the Mission Leisure Centre.

The Grandview Steelers will be making their final visit to the MLC of the regular season and the 2 teams meet for the 3rd time this season.  Grandview has the edge in the season series 2 games to none.

This week the Outlaws have seen their lead in the Harold Brittain Conference Standings erased as the Ridge Meadows Flames were able to win 2 straight games to tie for 4th in the standings.  Grandview sits in 3rd in the Tom Shaw Conference with a record of 12-12-0-2 for 26 points.

Who to watch for:

Mission City – Mike Holub – Holub has been steadily coming into his own since joining the team and has been heavily relied upon by the coaching staff to create more and more offence for the hockey club.

Grandview – Tim Chow – Chow has been a rock in the face off circle for the Steelers again this season.  Tim also helps quite a bit as a setup guy as he leads his team in assists with 17.

Final Thoughts:

Obviously a slow start will not help anyone’s cause and the Outlaws need to put last nights game behind them in a hurry.  It’s going to be a tight matchup as they always seem to be when these 2 teams meet.
