These days for Mission City Outlaws fans, there is a lot to cheer for when it comes to the recent success their team has had lately.
The Outlaws are 5-0-0-1 in their last 6 games and are winners of 4 straight on Home ice with the most recent win coming Saturday night at the Mission Leisure Centre over the power house, North Van. Wolf Pack.
The Outlaws were able to get 3 out of 4 points this week as they had an overtime loss in Langley against the Knights on New Years night which saw Mission City surrender 2 goals with just 2 and a half minutes remaining in regulation to tie the game at 2-2 and forced to Overtime where Langley would win it halfway through the 1st overtime.
The Outlaws really needed to get back in the win column and not only get separation from Ridge Meadows but also close the gap on Abbotsford in the Harold Brittain Conference. With the win and the tie, this week, Mission City now trail the Pilots by 3 points for 3rd place in the standings as they sit 4th with a record of 14-15-1-2 for 31 points and are just one win away from playing .500 hockey.
It will be another tough contest for the Outlaws on Thursday when the team makes the final trip of the 2014/15 regular season to the Minoru Arena in Richmond to take on the league leading Richmond Sockeyes. Then the team will follow up with another match up with the Ridge Meadows Flames at the Mission Leisure Centre.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
