GAME DAY!!! Outlaws @ Grandview Steelers

The final meeting of the regular season will take place in Burnaby this afternoon when the Outlaws make the trip to the Burnaby Winter Club to take on the surging Grandview Steelers.

The Steelers come into the contest winners of 4 straight.  the Outlaws are coming off a convincing 5-1 victory on home ice last night at the MLC over the Richmond Sockeyes.

The positioning in the standings continues for both the Steelers and the Outlaws as the stretch to the end of the regular season approaches rapidly.  Grandview sits in 3rd place with 37 points in 33 games played.  The Delta Ice Hawks are right on their heals at 35 points.  The Outlaws, for a moment last night, were in 3rd place in the Harold Brittain but a overtime victory for the Abbotsford Pilots at the MSA Arena quickly changed that.

Final thoughts:

The Outlaws are an impressive 8-1-1 in their last 10 games and sit just 2 points out of 2nd place in the Conference.  Bryce Pisiak had back to back hat tricks which is impressive in its own right but the one guy silently making moves has to be captain David McGowan who now has points in 13 straight games.  The team is also getting contributions from the back end on up through all lines as every player is pitching in to the teams success as of late.

KEEP THE GOOD TIMES ROLLING!!!

As for now you’re up to date.  See you at the rink.
