Flip a coin and you might have a better chance of figuring out where the teams in the Harold Brittain Conference will finish but we do know that the Ridge Meadows Flames will not make the Post Season as the Outlaws were able to pick up a victory on Saturday night against the Langley Knights at the Mission Leisure Centre. The victory eliminated the Flames from playoff contention.
The win was a nice bounce back for Mission City as they had dropped the last 2 games to the Grandview Steelers and the Aldergrove Kodiaks. The win puts the Outlaws just 1 point behind Langley for 3rd in the standings.
After the Outlaws found themselves down 2-0 after the opening frame. Mission City bounced back in a BIG way scoring 5 straight goals and handing the Knights a 5-2 loss.
Leading the charge once again was “Mr. Clutch” Bryce Pisiak who carried his torrid pace in the goal scoring department and registered his 3rd hat trick performance in just 5 games. This recent burst of offence from Pisiak now catapults him into 1st overall in the PJHL for goals for over Troy Kaczynski of the Richmond Sockeyes with 39 on the season.
The Outlaws need to find a way to win on the road and that will be put to the test this Thursday when Mission City makes their final appearance of the regular season at the George Preston Recreation Centre in Langley to take on the Knights in the back end of a home and home.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
