3rd place is on the line tonight when the Mission City Outlaws host the Abbotsford Pilots in a HUGE divisional match up at the Mission Leisure Centre.
The Outlaws have had an entire week off between games since they picked up an 8th straight victory last Saturday against the Delta Ice hawks and will be looking to improve that to 9 straight on home ice. Abbotsford, on the other hand, has had quite the busier week as they played in Aldergrove on Wednesday night and at the MSA Arena hosting the Ridge Meadows Flames on Friday in which the Pilots were defeated in both contests.
The Pilots sit in 3rd spot in the Harold Brittain Conference just 1 point ahead of the Outlaws with a record of 20-20-0-2 for 42 points. The Outlaws sit in 4th with a record of 19-19-1-2 for 41 points with 3 games remaining.
Final Thoughts:
One thing is for certain when these teams meet. These teams don’t like each other much and even though the Pilots and the Outlaws haven’t played each other since way back on Dec. 12th, I would expect both teams to pick up right where they left off. Should make for great hockey with a lot on the line.
