Well it took to the last game of the regular season, but the Mission City Outlaws were able to slip into the 3rd place spot in the Harold Brittain Conference with a victory over the Aldergrove Kodiaks at the Mission Leisure Centre last night.
It was the 10th straight victory on home ice for the Outlaws who are rolling at the MLC. The confusion for the team is the inability for the team to win on the road down the stretch and I really feel the team may have been able to pick up more than the 3rd position with some points that slipped away.
The Outlaws will have to figure that part of their game out in a hurry as they get set for the playoffs which start on Tuesday night. Mission City will take on the Langley Knights and due to some scheduling conflicts, the Outlaws will get game #1 at the MLC even though they don’t have home ice advantage, it does kind of act like a home ice advantage scenario for the Outlaws. Here is the schedule for what we know so far:
Tuesday Feb. 17, 2015 @ Mission Leisure Centre 7PM.
Thursday Feb. 19, 2015 @ George Preston Rec Centre 7:30PM
(more to come tomorrow so stay tuned to our twitter account @missionoutlaws and @outlawsbcast for more information)
In a record breaking season there is still unfinished business for the Outlaws and the only thing getting in the way of this next accomplishment is the Langley Knights.
Clean sheet and anything can happen so bring on the playoffs.
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
