PLAYOFF GAME DAY!!! Outlaws @ Langley Knights Game #2

The Langley Knights took Game #1 of the PJHL Harold Brittain Conference Semi Finals at the MLC and now Game #2 shifts to the George Preston Recreation Centre in Langley.

The Outlaws played well in the first game of the best of 7 but ran into a brick wall in net in the form of Nick Trenciansky.  As said on the broadcast on Tuesday, Mission City will have to make the necessary steps to find a way to drive the net and create a head ache for Trenciansky if the team plans on having any success against the Knights.

For my money one of the hardest working lines again on Tuesday had to be the line of Bryce Pisiak, Ram Brar and David McGowan.  I think it’s just a matter of time before that line connects for an offensive push.

Game #1 By The Numbers:

Shots on goal – Langley Knights  44

Mission City Outlaws  38

Power Plays – Langley Knights  0 for 5

Mission City Outlaws  1 for 5

Goals – Langley Knights  3

Josh Smith, Mitch Biermann, Dylan McCann

Mission City Outlaws  1

Kolby Steen

Final Thoughts:

The Outlaws moved the puck very well and there were some good quality scoring chances for Mission City in Game #1 but the coaching staff would like to see more traffic in front of the Knights net and when the Defense is utilized, get the shot lower so it is possible to get a better deflection on net.

As always you can catch all the action on our FREE ‘Audio Only’ Channel at mixlr.com/outlawshockey.  Game #2 get’s going at 7:30 PM with the Pregame show beginning at 7:20 PM LIVE from the GPRC in Langley.

IT’S NOT A SPRINT! ITS A MARATHON!  THAT’S WHY WE LOVE THE PLAYOFFS!

As for now you’re up to date.  See you at the rink.
