It was a night to forget for the Mission City Outlaws last night as the team had one of their worst showings in the PJHL post season dropping a Game 3 decision by a final score of 11-5 last night in North Vancouver. The good news is they don’t have to dwell on the loss as they host the Wolf Pack tonight at the Mission Leisure Centre.
The Outlaws came out of the gate and took it to the Wolf Pack in the first period 4-1 and at the halfway point of the game had a 5-2 lead over a North Van squad who really looked to be reeling. That’s when the explosion of offence kicked in for the Wolf Pack. North Van scored 9 unanswered goals to take the game 3 victory and cut into the Outlaws series lead. Mission City now leads 2 games to 1 in the PJHL Final’s.
The power play was strong for North Van last night as they were 4 for 6 with the man advantage. The Outlaws were 0 for 3.
The North Van Wolf Pack in the last 2 games have thrown 100 shots at the Outlaws goal. The difference from last night and Game 2 was that the Wolf Pack drove the net and were able to capitalize on bad bounces and rebound issues.
The BIG line of Mitch Crisanti, Spencer Quon and Brodyn Nielsen came to life last night combining for 19 points. The Outlaws did a good job of shutting this line down in the first 2 games and minus the blip in the radar last night, will have to keep this game plan moving forward.
