The Outlaws were once again in preseason action against the Ridge Meadows Flames only this time the stage was set at the Mission Leisure Centre.
For the first time in exhibition play, Mission City gave up the first goal of the contest in a flat start for the home squad. The Outlaws were able to pull it together late stages of the first and the offence once again took over for Mission as they pick up a 5-1 victory over the Flames.
Returning player Ryan Sharma had a very good night as he notch 2 goals and 2 assists in the victory. Bryce Pisiak also had a pair and Mack Lockyer rounded off the scoring for the Outlaws. Mission City has now outscored their opponent in preseason play 14-2.
Speaking of Mackenzie Lockyer, I had a chance to speak with the Thunder Bay Ontario Native after the game:
I also had a chance to get some thoughts from Associate Coach Mike Drouillard:
The team now will travel to Vancouver Island next weekend to play 3 games in 3 days against the Comox Valley Glacier Kings for 2 games and then end the weekend with a contest against the Nanaimo Buccaneers on Sunday. All 3 of these game will be available for FREE on our ‘Audio Only’ Channel at mixlr.com/outlawshockey beginning Friday August 28th at 6:15 pm
As for now you’re up to date. See you at the rink.
