Preseason: Sloppy Victory for Outlaws

The final tune up game before the season officially begins was a sloppy 7-6 victory for the Mission City Outlaws on Saturday at the Mission Leisure Centre against the Langley Knights.

At one point in the game, the Outlaws had a comfortable 4-1 lead only to see the Knights hang right in there and really give a strong push to an Outlaws squad that was pretty light on the back end when it came to Veteran presence.

A HUGE bright spot for Mission City was the play of the top line of McGowan, Pisiak and Sharma who combined for 13 points and leading them all was a 1 goal 6 assist performance from the teams captain David McGowan.

At the conclusion of the game the coaching staff had a few more difficult decisions to make in regards to players making it or not as they get set for the opening game of the season for the Outlaws.

This years crop of talent from prospects to veterans has been very good and something that fans can look forward to for the future players coming to Mission City.

It all gets going to real on Wednesday night when game 1 of the regular season is on the road as the Outlaws will make the trip to the Aldergrove Community Arena in Aldergrove to take on the team they knocked off in the Harold Brittain Conference Finals last season, the Aldergrove Kodiaks.  Game time is 7:15 PM.  You can catch all the action on the Outlaws Broadcast Network at mixlr.com/outlawshockey  Pregame show begins at 7:05 PM.

BRING ON THE REGULAR SEASON!!!

As for now you’re up to date.  See you at the rink.
