Playoff Recap: Outlaws Drop Game 1

During the course of the 60 minutes in Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs for the Mission City Outlaws, it would be safe to say that the Outlaws really only played a solid 6 minutes.

Mission City found themselves down early and were never able to recover even during the flurry of offense the Outlaws poured on late in the 3rd and the home squad dropped a 5-4 decision to the Ridge Meadows Flames who now lead the best of 7 series 1-0.

Ridge Meadows was lead by Andrew Strelezki who posted 3 goals and Bradley Crompton had a pair including the game winner.  Outlaws got a pair of goals from Kolby Steen and Kyle Lennea who also notched 2 goals of his own.

It was a weird night for Jeff Veitch between the pipes as a couple of the goals were off some strange bounces and some questionable non calls resulting in goals for the Flames.  Jason Sandhu was solid for Ridge Meadows in the victory and made some key saves to help his team.

It will be a quick turn around for both clubs as the series shifts for games 2 and 3 to the Cam Neely Arena in Maple Ridge and Game #2 goes Wednesday night with a 7:30 PM puck drop.  As always you can catch all the action LIVE for FREE audio on the Outlaws Broadcast Network at mixlr.com/outlawshockey beginning with the Reliable Auto Towing pregame show beginning at 7:20 PM.

As for now you’re up to date.  See you at the rink.
